Steps to follow on the way to hospital

શાંત રાખો
Most bites are dry or non-venomous. Panic raises the heart rate.

અંગ સ્થિર રાખો
Splint the limb like a fracture. Don't let the patient walk.

દાગીના કાઢો
Remove rings, bangles, watch and tight clothes before swelling.

ડૉક્ટરને જણાવો
Note the time of bite and any drooping eyelids, bleeding or breathlessness.

તરત હોસ્પિટલ
Reach an ICU with anti-snake venom. Call on the way.

- Tight tourniquet or rope above the bite
- Cutting, sucking or burning the wound
- Ice, herbs or any home remedy
- Losing time with a bhuva or faith healer

- Every snake bite, even if there's no pain
- Keep the patient under watch for 24 hours
- Rush if eyelids droop, gums bleed or breathing gets hard
